Criss Cross Categories

Slots in a 4x4 grid are filled with open letters, 10 slots at the edge are filled with face-down letters for bonus chips. You draw a card and select one of the two categories. In turn, all name a term suiting the category and beginning with one of the letters in the grid; you take the letter. If you take too long and the timer runs out, you are out of the round; if you are the first one out, you take an action chip which can be used in later rounds to avoid being ousted or to name a second word or to turn over the timer to gain more time. If you take the last letter from a row, column or diagonal, you take the bonus letter chip. When all are out or all letters taken, the round ends. When the grid cannot be completely refilled for the next round, you score 1 point for purple letter chips and 2 points for yellow ones.
